The well-being of people is essential for me, president of Atiba LG

As part of the activities to mark the start of 2022, the Executive Chairman of Atiba Local Government Zone of Oyo State, Kafilat Mojisola Olakojo, honored the first baby of the year in the in-kind counseling and cash.

According to her, the well-being of the members of the local government was paramount to her and will ensure that nothing is overlooked.

While congratulating the mother of the baby, Ms. Fasilat Lawal from Basorun Maternity Center, Aafin, Olakojo advised mothers to ensure that their children receive the desired attention and care as they remain the future glory of any society.

She recalled the essence of breastfeeding and regular medical examinations, especially basic vaccination for babies.

Olakojo announced the award of a scholarship for the baby up to university level.

Introducing the materials and the money to the baby, Hon. Olakojo urged the mother to make good use of the gifts.

She also praised the gesture of the government led by Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State, describing it as unprecedented.

According to her, the state government has touched all facets of society, from safety education, health and economic transformation to agriculture, including massive infrastructure development through the State.

She therefore called on the residents of the Atiba local government area and the state in general to support the current state administration beyond 2023.

In response, the mother of the first baby, Ms Lawal thanked the President, wishing him a successful term.

She also appreciated the service of the center staff for their professionalism which she said made the safe delivery and celebration possible.

The baby gave birth at exactly 12 a.m. on January 1.

Olakojo, along with the council’s management team, also visited the Oke-Olola health center where similar gestures were extended to babies delivered to the families of Ms Ronke Mutairu and Ms Kareem Oyindamola.

She took the opportunity to send New Year’s messages to residents of the local government area, wishing them the best for 2022.

The council head’s entourage included the health supervisor, the education supervisor, the primary health care coordinator, the deputy director of education and social services, and other senior local government officials. ‘Atiba.
