The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in the Philippines unveiled its new program to raise awareness of emerging technologies and disruptive innovations entitled “Tech Trends”.

Participants can freely choose from the seven tracks of the Tech Trends project such as Data Analytics; Internet of Things (IoT); blockchain; Artificial intelligence; cyber security; Cloud computing; and gig economics. Tech Trends was developed to help raise awareness and encourage discussion about the development of the ICT industry, according to Emmanuel “Manny” Rey Caintic, Acting Secretary, DICT.

Through a series of regular webinars, “Tech Trends” strives to provide the public with free and accessible sources of knowledge, inspiration and encouragement to engage in ICT industry activities. It will cover the current global technology scenario as well as the post-pandemic future of work, including technical trends in important countries, the humanization of the future of work, and the strategic benefits of flexible working arrangements.
